	TISSUE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN AND SUPPORT (ONE PART TIME POSITION AVAILABLE) Lake Superior Centre for Regenerative Medicine (RegenMed) is a not-for-profit tissue bank founded and based in Thunder Bay. RegenMed proudly serves the public through recovery, processing and distribution of human tissue grafts used for transplantation in life-saving and life-enhancing procedures. The Processing Technician is a vital member of a team creating surgical grafts from donated human tissue. This position requires a high level of technical skill and commitment working under aseptic conditions while performing controlled processes. Exemplary attention to detail and adherence to defined processes and procedures is mandatory. As a Processing Technician, you will perform all aspects of tissue processing, packaging and preservation in compliance with federal and AATB regulations. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining instruments and supplies used in processing which involves dropping off and picking up at TBRHSC. You will also be responsible for weekly cleaning and weekly/monthly equipment quality control and preventative maintenance and inventory. Knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique and/or experience or training in surgical technology/operating room procedures or mortuary field is an asset. The position is a minimum of 10 days per month and also involves on call hours evenings and weekends. Must possess a valid driver’s license, have use of vehicle for transporting sterile supplies and be able to lift or carry over 50 pounds.
