Yolanda MacKinnon M.Sc.

Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Manager

Yolanda holds a B.Sc. in Applied Biochemistry from the University of Guelph and a M.Sc. from Trent University in the field of developmental toxicology.  She has several years of experience in scientific research and project management.  Yolanda began working with the group that established RegenMed in 2003 and subsequently wrote successful funding applications for the development of the facility.  Following her second maternity leave, Yolanda returned to the RegenMed team to lead the Quality Assurance program. Her scientific background and exceptional attention to detail are assets in ensuring that RegenMed activities meet and/or exceed federal regulations, Canadian and international tissue banking standards.  Yolanda holds a membership with the American Association of Tissue Banks and attends annual AATB Quality Assurance and Donor Suitability Workshops.
