A Tissue Bank is an establishment that collects, processes, stores and distributes human cadaver tissue for the purpose of transplantation. Such tissues may be referred to as: implant tissue, allograft , human transplant tissue, implant bone or tissue for transplant. The tissue is recovered from deceased individuals who have generously consented to donate their tissue. After recovery and processing, the tissue is stored in -80˚C freezers or can be freeze-dried and stored at room temperature until they are distributed. The RegenMed Tissue Bank has a supply of tissue for transplant readily available to Canadian surgeons for multiple applications.
