When I met David and the Team at RegenMed few years ago, little did I know, I would be the recipient of the Gift of Life myself.

I met David, Elizabeth and the team and had a unique opportunity to learn all about the amazing, processes that took place at RegenMed as well as the advanced technology to provide tissue for transplant.

​

To say  the least, I was so touched how one beautiful gift from a donor, could help so many lives.

​

It was a privilege and an honor to be able to witness this team in action.

 

A few short years later, I had an unfortunate accident that had shattered my wrist and long-term prognosis of regaining the full usage of my hand, wrist and arm did not look great.

​

I was scheduled for surgery with the possibility of fusing the joints if the original plan of the reconstruction didn’t work.  I had a great Surgeon who did reconstructive surgery with 3 plates, 10 screws, and 2 cadaver bones. 

 

If it wasn’t for someone’s generous and amazing contribution to my surgery, I would have likely not had much use of my hand and wrist for the rest of my life. I have made a 95% recovery!

 

So life sometimes comes full circle, one never knows when they will be in need or when they will be called to give the gift of life. I am forever grateful to the amazing person and family who made the decision to be a donor.  Thank You for MY Gift of Life! I promise to pay it forward!
